Full Dentures
Teeth already extracted
Full dentures are required when all of your teeth have already been extracted, after your gums and underlying bone have healed. Getting complete dentures usually requires 3-4 appointments: the initial impression, bite, try-in, and delivery.

IMMEDIATE DENTURES
Placed the day of Surgery
We provide your dentures to the Oral Surgeon, who places the Immediate Dentures in your mouth right after your extractions have been completed. These dentures serve as a "bandage" as your gums are healing. These dentures must be replaced or relined six months following surgery, when you are fully healed.

Partial Dentures
(flippers, RPD's)
Partial dentures replace a group of individual teeth that are missing on a palate. They can be rigid, made of both acrylic and chrome, or flexible, made from a more pliable acrylic material. The number of teeth you are missing and their spacing will help determine the type of partial denture that will work best for you.

Imlant-assisted dentures
Implant-Assisted Dentures remain firmly in place by "snapping" onto dental implants the oral surgeon has screwed into your alveolar ridge bone. The denture that we make has the housing that the implant couples with to hold the denture securely in place. These provide a more natural chewing and articulating function than regular dentures.

Relines
because you are shrinking!
Relines are required 6 months after your oral surgery when you received Immediate Dentures. This is because your alveolar ridge bone will shrink to fill in the gaps where the tooth roots were extracted. As a result, the gums surrounding them shrink too, part of the healing process. Also, relines are required periodically as you age, or if you lose weight, because both result in loss of bone mass and shrinking gums.

Adjustments & Repairs

Most repairs are finished the same day.
Damage to dentures occurs from dropping them on hard surfaces, from pets eating them, from biting on super-hard or sticky foods like beef jerky or taffy. An ill-fitting or worn denture will crack more easily.
Adjustments are required after extractions and during the life of the denture because your bones and gums are continuously reforming and at times shrinking.
